As we prepare for this congress in one of world´s most beautiful cultural centres belonging to the UNESCO world heritage cities, we find ourselves at a critical point in our field. The increasing prevalence of hypertension in children and cardiovascular disease calls for a deeper understanding of its origins and progression—beginning as early as childhood, and in some cases, even prenatally. Our collective efforts must focus on early identification and the development of strategies to prevent and mitigate long-term impact.
